There are six of the most influential women leaders whose names are doing the rounds for the Delhi CM position:–
1. Shikha Roy – She became a Cinderella as she defeated the AAP stalwart Saurabh Bharadwaj from the Greater Kailash assembly constituency.
2. Rekha Gupta – won the Shalimar Bagh seat with a massive majority of 29,595 votes against AAP’s Bandana Kumari.
3. Smriti Irani: former Union minister, who lost in the 2024 Lok Sabha election from Amethi, but still remained a powerful leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party, or BJP
4. Bansuri Swaraj: Daughter of former Union minister Sushma Swaraj; she won the New Delhi Lok Sabha seat in 2024.
5. Poonam Sharma: Who defeated AAP’s Rajesh Gupta by 11,425 votes in Wazirpur.
6. Neelam Pehelwan defeated AAP’s Tarun Kumar with a margin of 29,009 votes at the Najafgarh constituency.

Whether the party decided to go on and announce that they would come with a woman CM, a young face, or an old politician one thing is evident: Delhi in itself is likely to witness this gigantic political tectonic movement.
